We met on Hinge in 2021 and decided to take a chance on a first date at Sen Zushi. What we didn’t know then was that we were about to meet our best friend. Since then, we’ve become each other’s favourite person to stay home with. Whether we’re reading, gaming, or just enjoying the quiet, we’re happiest in each other’s company. Through every season, we’ve grown stronger together, always finding our way through challenges hand-in-hand.
In October 2025, during a trip to Edmonton, Mark planned to propose during a romantic evening walk after dinner. But after a long flight, Carisse had only one mission: to take a shower. So instead, Mark proposed in our hotel room, making it perfectly us: loving, cozy, and down-to-earth.
After more than four years together, we cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who have supported and loved us along the way.

We would love if you could RSVP as soon as possible as this gives us more time to finalize numbers with vendors and to plan ahead! However, the RSVP deadline is March 20, 2026.
Due to the small venue and reception spaces, we are allowing guests to bring their significant other (this means no friends or family as your plus one). Thank you for understanding as we work to accommodate our guests!
We anticipate celebrating with your little ones! Please consider them as potential guests and add the number of children who will be attending to the RSVP form if you're planning on bringing them along!

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. Please arrive no later than 3:30pm to allow time to park, enter the venue and find a seat.
Starling Lane Vineyard is located at 5271 Old West Saanich Rd in Victoria, BC. Please enter through the gates located on Old West Saanich Rd, not Starling Lane.
The ceremony will take place outdoors in the rose garden, weather pending. You will need to walk outdoors to head to the reception (greenhouse) and dancing (winery) areas.
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! Dress code is semi-formal to formal attire. The ceremony will be outdoors in the rose garden. Ladies, please take this into account when choosing your heels! We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing an outfit with a majority of white, ivory, cream, or red to avoid accidentally matching with the bride.
We encourage you to capture photos for the duration of the wedding, both during the ceremony and afterwards!
You have the option of red wine, white wine, or a non-alcoholic option to be served with dinner. Please choose your preference in the RSVP form.
We will be serving a 4-course plated dinner including artisan bread, fish, scallops, and beef. Vegan dinner options are available. The wedding cake will not be vegan.
If you have any dietary restrictions, allergies, or preferences, please mention them in the RSVP form. We will do our best to accommodate you and will inform you if we cannot meet your requests. Notify us if you have any questions!
No, we do not. However, if you would like to give us a gift, we kindly prefer cash contributions to help us start our new life together!
