In 2021, our lives crossed in a way neither of us expected. A first date at Sen Zushi and a short walk afterward sparked a conversation that ranged from our favourite fantasy series to the work we were both doing to become better people. We laughed, we connected, and we both felt something meaningful begin to take shape, even if, when Mark asked for a second date, Carisse answered with a very cautious “maybe.” Eventually that maybe became a yes.
Since that first date, Carisse and Mark have shared many more sushi outings, even more ramen nights, and countless small moments that deepened their connection. Over time, they not only fell in love but also became best friends. Their happiest moments are often the simplest ones, spent enjoying the quiet and being fully at ease in each other’s company.
In October 2025, on a trip to Edmonton, Mark planned to propose during a romantic evening walk after dinner. But after a long flight, Carisse had one priority: a shower. So the proposal happened in our hotel room instead, turning the moment into something completely true to who we are, loving, cozy, and grounded.
After more than four years together, we are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people who have supported and loved us every step of the way.

We would love if you could RSVP as soon as possible as this gives us more time to finalize numbers with vendors and to plan ahead! However, the RSVP deadline is March 20, 2026.
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! Dress code is semi-formal to formal attire. The ceremony will be outdoors in the rose garden. Ladies, please take this into account when choosing your heels! We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing an outfit with a majority of white, ivory, cream, or red to avoid accidentally matching with the bride.
